Are you passionate about building meaningful connections, engaging communities, and helping tell the story of a thriving Christian School?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and relational Community Engagement Officer to join our team on a temporary part time 0.4 FTE maternity leave cover until early August 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised skilled who enjoys working with people, coordinating events, and promoting positive community engagement.

Pacific Valley Christian School is a dynamic Prep to Year 12 co-educational Christian learning community committed to developing and nurturing our students. It is a well-established school located near Yamba (in Townsend) on the far north coast of NSW and is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. The School emphasises excellence and growth in Christian character with its vision being ‘to provide a Christian educational community as a centre of teaching, learning, and serving excellence founded on Biblically based beliefs, values, and behaviour’. As Community Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening relationships between the school, families, and the wider community. Working closely with school leadership, staff, and parent groups, you will help foster a connected Christian community while supporting initiatives that enhance engagement, school profile, and enrolment growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain engaging social media content
- Develop strategies to increase the school's online presence and community engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community groups and organisations
- Support and coordinate school events and community activities
- Work collaboratively with school leadership, staff, and parent groups to strengthen community connections
