Rostering Systems Team Leader

Are you an experienced rostering or workforce systems specialist ready to take the next step into leadership?

We're looking for a hands-on Rostering Systems Team Leader to lead a small team and take ownership of the systems that support rostering, workforce management and payroll.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands how rostering systems work behind the scenes and enjoys improving processes, solving problems and supporting others.

What you'll be doing

- Lead, support and develop a small team of Rostering Systems Administrators
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance and improvement of rostering systems
- Coordinate system changes linked to awards, enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
- Develop test plans and guide the team through system testing
- Manage system upgrades, integrations, enhancements and change controls
- Make sure rostering data is accurate and flows correctly into payroll
- Work closely with Payroll, HR, Employee Relations, Finance, IT and operational teams
- Manage competing priorities and keep stakeholders updated
- Partner with software vendors to resolve issues and improve system performance
- Improve system documentation, user guides and training materials
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and introduce automation

What we're looking for





- Experience supporting or managing a rostering, workforce management or time and attendance system
- Exposure to platforms such as RosterOn, Optima, UKG, Kronos, Humanforce, Dayforce or a similar system
- A good understanding of how rostering and time data connects with payroll
- Experience interpreting awards, enterprise agreements or other industrial requirements
- Confidence managing system changes, testing and upgrades
- Solid problem-solving skills and a focus on data accuracy
- The ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous leadership, mentoring or team coordination experience
- Strong Excel and reporting skills

Formal qualifications in payroll, HR systems or IT would be useful, but practical experience is more important.
