ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a reliable Driver to join our Townsville Hardware team. You’ll be out on the road delivering building materials to our customers, helping with loading and unloading, and making sure each delivery gets there safely, accurately and on time. This role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes safety seriously, and is comfortable building good relationships with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

- Deliver customer orders safely and on schedule
- Check goods against run sheets and make sure everything is accounted for
- Load, move and unload stock safely and in line with workplace health and safety requirements
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and team members
- Operate vehicles, plant and equipment safely and in line with company policies
- Handle products securely so they arrive on site in valuable condition

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS





- At least 3 years’ truck driving experience with a clean driving record
- Medium Rigid Truck Licence (MR) — essential
- Forklift licence (LF) — essential
- Licence to Perform Dogging (DG)
- Experience using a vehicle loading crane truck
- Physically fit and able to safely handle building materials
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using basic systems and willing to learn new ones
- Good knowledge of Townsville and surrounding areas
- A practical, hands-on attitude and the ability to keep things moving on busy days
