The Opportunity

Join Toowoomba Anglican School as a Boarding Supervisor with our Year Seven to Year Twelve Senior Girls and immerse yourself in a unique opportunity to support and mentor young people in a vibrant residential setting, while enjoying flexibility that fits around your university schedule.

This residential role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by providing support, guidance, and supervision within a safe and nurturing environment.

You will work collaboratively with the Head and Assistant Heads of House to ensure the smooth daily operation of the boarding house, fostering a sense of belonging, independence, and wellbeing among our students.

Whether you’re looking to begin a rewarding career in education and pastoral care or bring experience from a youth, residential, or mentoring background, this role will allow you to have a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

What You’ll Do

• Actively supervise and support boarders during morning, afternoon, and evening routines.

• Build positive relationships with students and model respectful,



appropriate behaviour.

• Support meal, study, and recreation times, ensuring routines are followed.

• Contribute to the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of students.

• Maintain a safe, caring, and structured boarding environment.

• Communicate effectively with the boarding leadership team about student welfare.

• Participate in the extracurricular life of the school through sports, clubs, or activities.

• Assist with the overall running of the boarding house and uphold school policies.

What You’ll Bring

• A genuine interest in working with young people and contributing to their development.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.

• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or eligibility to obtain one.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

• (Desirable) Experience in education, youth work, boarding, or residential care.

Remuneration Package

Total Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience (excluding superannuation (12.75%) and penalty rates)
