Your New Role
Don't you just love the dual purpose role - they are the best. You'll enjoy a foot in both camps - being the finance business partner and the commercial support. You don't just run the numbers, you help negotiate the contract and then ensure contract performance, how good?!

As Finance Business Partner:
- Deliver monthly reporting, what happened, why, and what are we going to do to improve it?
- Lead budgeting process end to end for your portfolio of operations, liaising across multiple sites, operational leadership, commercial manager, and group finance personnel.
- Conduct performance analysis, tracking KPI's (financial, operational, performance, safety), and creating commercial insights and recommendations for performance improvements
- Ensure financial governance essential in an ASX listed company environment.
- Provide detailed and hopefully accurate financial forecasts based on contracted revenue and operational targets.

As Commercial Business Partner:
- Take your seat at the negotiating table next to the commercial manager.
- Support operational decision making, performance improvement measures/programs, in a continuous improvement environment.
- Work closely with Clients to perform cost reviews, cost control, and communicate variations.




- Facilitate and support commercial meetings, providing clear updates to senior management.
- Interpret contracts, work though any contract disputes, including authoring formal contract correspondence

Your Profile
To thrive in this position, you'll have demonstrated financial nous including working in operational focused finance roles (mine site preferred, but open to other industrial settings) where you've also had direct commercial exposure working under a commercial or operational manager. A relevant tertiary degree and post graduate accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA) is a non-negotiable, along with advanced excel financial modelling skills. You are a forward thinking, proactive, self-starter with a continuous improvement, growth mindset. You are career focused and looking for a pathway to commercial manager in the next 18-24 months - this is your stepping stone opportunity.
