Premier Transport Group are currently seeking a Full-time Automotive Spray Painter to join our team at our Unanderra Depot. You will be a motivated, and qualified Automotive Spray painter with experience in surface preparation, colour mixing, and the application of paint to achieve a high quality finish.

Premier Motor Service is part of the Premier Transport Group providing bus and coach transport services in the Illawarra area. We operate local route and school bus services, private charters, and rail replacement services. Our operations are Australian owned and operated having grown from a small, local business to providing cost effective travel options and quality customer service to passengers in the Illawarra area and surrounds.

About the Role:

- Full-time position, Monday to Friday with overtime hours available. Rotating roster.

- Inspect and prepare vehicle surfaces, including sanding, masking and priming to ensure proper adhesion of paint.

- Apply paint, lacquer, enamel and other finishes to heavy vehicles using spray guns, brushes, or other techniques.

- Mix and match paint colours to original paint or achieve custom colours,



using computer systems or manual techniques.

- Buff, polish and apply explicit coats to achieve desired gloss and durability, ensuring all painted surfaces are free of runs, drips and other imperfections.

- Maintain records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.

- Working in line with safety guidelines and procedures.

- General cleaning including workspace and equipment.

About You:

- Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia

- Relevant Trade Qualification

- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivated, strong initiative and an ability to work independently and within a team

- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written), attention to detail, reliability and punctuality

- Prior experience in spray techniques, colour mixing and surface preparation.

Desirable:

- Currently hold a MR or higher-class License or Unrestricted C Class willing to upgrade
