Quirindi Engineering are seeking a talented Welder Metal Fabricator tradesperson to join our growing team. We offer a competitive base salary as well as opportunity for a fair amount of overtime if desired. We are a local family-owned business offering fabrication, welding, machining and hydraulics, and a retail store selling a huge range of parts and spares, plus crane hire.
Key responsibilities
- Complete a range of steel fabrication and welding tasks
- Operate workshop machinery and equipment including guillotine, press brake, lathe, milling machine
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Requirements
- Trade qualification - Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Welding) or Fitting Machining
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Competency in steel fabrication processes and skill in operating metalworking machinery
- Experience in hydraulics desirable but not essential
- C6 Crane or dogman licence desirable but not essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
- A commitment to workplace safety and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
