We’re looking for a Quality & Compliance Specialist to join our team and play a key role in protecting the quality, integrity and reputation of our wines.

About the Role

As a Quality & Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in protecting the quality, integrity and reputation of De Bortoli Wines. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll work closely with our Production and Operations teams to drive high standards across processing, production and storage operations. From strengthening food safety and quality systems to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, your work will directly contribute to ensuring our products consistently meet regulatory, industry, customer and export requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance programs, procedures, specifications and Standard Work Instructions.
- Monitor production requirements, conduct quality inspections and product testing, and ensure HACCP Critical Control Points, GMP, hygiene and sanitation requirements are effectively maintained.
- Maintain product specifications for domestic and export markets and coordinate compliance documentation, including Certificates of Analysis, Product Information Forms, Country of Origin Labelling and Letters of Ingredient Particulars.
- Support export compliance requirements and assist with external audits, including BRC Global Standards, HACCP and food safety certification audits.
- Manage non-conformances, out-of-specification results and customer complaints,



including root cause analysis and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate product traceability exercises and mock recalls to ensure systems remain effective and compliant with legal and customer requirements.
- Maintain controlled documents and quality records, participate in internal audits and prepare quality reports.
- Deliver training to Production and Quality teams on HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality requirements.

About You

You’re a quality professional who takes pride in getting the details right and making a meaningful impact on food safety, compliance and continuous improvement. You’ll bring demonstrated experience working within a food manufacturing, beverage production or processing environment, together with sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety management systems.

You will have:

- Practical experience in quality assurance, monitoring, testing and verification
- Experience managing non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Experience with product traceability and quality documentation
- Solid knowledge of relevant food safety legislation and industry standards, including the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code
- The ability to interpret and apply regulatory and customer requirements within a processing environment
- Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to build effective relationships across Production, Operations, Planning, Procurement and Sales & Marketing

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree, or 3+ years’ QA experience in primary production or processing.
- Experience in wine processing, export compliance, quality systems, traceability or food safety standards is highly regarded.
