Elite Asbestos Services is looking for an experienced and reliable Asbestos Supervisor/Removalist to join our growing professional team.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who has robust asbestos removal experience, takes pride in their work and is confident supervising a team on residential and, on occasion, commercial projects.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supervising and assisting with asbestos removal works across Queensland. The successful applicant will be required to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Travel in Queensland ma be required when necessary, so applicants must be willing and able to travel and work away from home when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise asbestos removal works and removal crews
- Undertake hands-on asbestos removal when required
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures
- Read, complete & follow SWMS, JSA’s and asbestos removal control plans
- Complete site setup, containment and decontamination procedures
- Conduct toolbox meetings and site inductions
- Monitor staff performance and ensure safe work practices
- Liaise with clients, builders and other contractors on site
- Complete job documentation, site records and relevant paperwork
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and site safety
- Ensure asbestos waste is correctly packaged,
transported and disposed of
- Identify and report hazards and site issues
- Assist with equipment, vehicles and site maintenance
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in asbestos removal
- Confident supervising a team
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and take responsibility on site
- Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging environments
- Able to communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Willing to travel throughout Queensland, when required.
- Willing to work away from home when necessary
- Holds a current Asbestos Removal Licence (Class A and B)
- Holds a current White Card
- Holds a current driver’s licence
- Previous supervisory experience is highly regarded
