Cleared Recruitment is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to support the delivery of a significant communications capability project within a complex Defence environment.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a critical ICT-enabled capability, working alongside senior project leadership, technical specialists, security stakeholders, and Defence personnel to manage project outcomes throughout the capability lifecycle.
n
The Role
n
As the ICT Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing project activities to support capability delivery, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, governance, security, and technical requirements.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Supporting senior project leadership with project planning, coordination, and delivery activities.
n
- Developing and maintaining project documentation, plans, reports, and artefacts.
n
- Monitoring project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
n
- Coordinating stakeholder engagement across technical, security, engineering, and program delivery teams.
n
- Supporting procurement and contract management activities.
n
- Managing project governance and reporting requirements.
n
- Facilitating project meetings and ensuring actions are tracked to completion.
n
- Supporting ICT integration, accreditation, cyber security, and assurance activities.
n
- Assisting with change management processes across scope, schedule, and budget.
n
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and project delivery efficiencies.
n
n
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering ICT-enabled projects within Defence, Government, or National Security environments.
n
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
n
- Experience managing project schedules, dependencies, budgets, risks, and reporting requirements.
n
- Knowledge of Defence procurement, financial management, and risk management practices.
n
- Experience working with complex stakeholder groups and multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Robust leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
n
- Understanding of Defence ICT governance, system integration, and capability delivery processes.
n
- Knowledge of cyber security governance and its application within ICT projects.
n
n
Candidates with any of the following will be highly regarded:
n
n
- Experience working on Defence capability acquisition projects.
n
- Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and ASDEFCON.
n
- Experience within CASG, CIOG, DDG, JCG, or related Defence programs.
n
- Familiarity with Defence ICT security accreditation requirements and the Information Security Manual (ISM).
n
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CPPM, ITIL, or equivalent.
n
- Experience leading cross-functional teams within complex technical environments.
n
n
