The Opportunity:n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property and Commercial Lawyer to take a leading role in our property practice and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.

n

The matters vary from day to day, keeping the work engaging and commercially relevant. You will advise clients directly, manage files with autonomy and work closely with our Director, John Gallagher, on complex matters, client relationships and practice development.

n

You will also collaborate with an experienced head conveyancer,



junior lawyers, excellent paralegals and our marketing and business development and accounting managers. The team provides practical support so you can focus on high-level legal work and strong client outcomes.

Your Practice will Include:n

You will advise on a broad range of property, commercial and related matters, including:

n

- Purchase and sales of commercial, industrial, and retail property
n
- Retail, commercial and industrial leasing
n
- Property development and off-the-plan transactions
n
- Property structuring and titling arrangements
n
- Easements, covenants, and land use issues
n
- Property-related disputes, including encroachments
n
- Loans, securities, and mortgages
n
- Body Corporate matters
n

n

Experience in general commercial law will be highly regarded, particularly in:

n

n
- Business sales and acquisitions
n
- Commercial advisory work
n
- Contract drafting and negotiation
n

n

About Youn

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Approximately 5–10 years PAE in property and commercial law
n
- Experience gained within an Australian firm, with Queensland-specific knowledge a bonus.
n
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills
n
- Sound commercial judgment and a practical, solutions-focused approach
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team
n
- Professional maturity, discretion, and reliability
n
- An interest in developing client relationships, mentoring junior team members and contributing to the firm’s long-term growth.
