Our client is seeking an experienced Utility & Facilities Manager to oversee facilities management operations based in Northmead, NSW.

About the Opportunity

n

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing facilities operations, contractor performance, compliance requirements, and facilities-related capital projects at a key production facility.

n

You will work closely with operational leaders, service providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure facilities are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.

n

This role offers a blend of operational facilities management, contractor governance, budget oversight, and project delivery, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make a tangible impact within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage the performance and relationship of external Facilities Management service providers.
n
- Oversee delivery of both hard and soft facilities services, including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, pest control, and statutory compliance.
n
- Ensure facilities and building infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost effectively.
n
- Coordinate contractor activities and manage permit-to-work processes.
n
- Monitor and drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Lead facilities-related continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Provide regular reporting on facilities performance, budgets, risks, and project delivery.
n




- Monitor operational expenditure and identify opportunities to improve value and cost efficiencies.
n
- Manage minor capital works projects from planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
n
- Partner with site leadership teams to support operational continuity and business objectives.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- Proven experience managing facilities management contracts, service providers, and contractors.
n
- Experience delivering capital works projects within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or commercial environments.
n
- Strong knowledge of contractor management, permit-to-work systems, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Demonstrated budget management and cost-control experience.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
n
- Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
n
- Qualifications in Facilities Management, Construction, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
n
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
n
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
n
