About the Role
n
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of production, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
n
You will be responsible for coordinating workshop operations across fabrication, assembly, electrical and final fit-out while maintaining delivery schedules, driving improvements and supporting a high-performing team culture.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and manage day-to-day workshop and production operations
n
- Ensure production schedules and project deadlines are achieved
n
- Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Coordinate workflow across fabrication, electrical and assembly teams
n
- Monitor labour utilisation, production efficiency and productivity
n
- Manage inventory, material requirements and production resources
n
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety
n
- Provide leadership, coaching and accountability to workshop teams
n
- Partner with purchasing, sales and logistics to ensure project success
n
- Support business growth through operational excellence and process improvement
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will bring:
n
n
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role
n
- Experience within manufacturing, automotive, transport, heavy industry or fabrication environments
n
- Strong leadership and team development skills
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
n
- Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational capabilities
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
- Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
n
- Sound understanding of quality, compliance and safety requirements
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
n
n
