About the role
Join the Barwon South West Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS) and play an important role in supporting cancer care services across the region. BSWRICS is funded by the Department of Health and brings together health services delivering cancer care across Barwon South West.
As an Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the BSWRICS Program Director, Deputy Director and broader team, helping to coordinate day-to-day operations, communications, meetings and stakeholder activities.
This temporary parental leave relief position offers 64 hours per fortnight with flexible working hours, based at the Barwon Health Staff Hub in North Geelong. It’s a great prospect to contribute your administrative skills within a collaborative team while supporting a service that makes a difference to people affected by cancer across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the BSWRICS Program Director and governance committees, including diary management, meeting coordination, agendas, minutes, correspondence, travel and reporting
- Coordinate BSWRICS communications and information, including newsletters, stakeholder distribution, health professional and community service directories, website and LinkedIn content,
and statewide communications activities
- Support the effective operation of the BSWRICS office, including supplies, equipment, data collation, annual reporting, stakeholder enquiries and general administrative coordination
What we’re looking for
- Proficient administrative and digital skills, including Microsoft Office, online meeting platforms and standard office equipment
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, multitask and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable and responsive approach to work, with healthcare administration experience and/or an interest in digital communications such as websites, newsletters and LinkedIn highly desirable
