A globally recognised beauty brand with an impressive international footprint is looking for its next Finance Director.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known and highly regarded beauty business at an important stage of its growth. With a small corporate head office team in Sydney and a global reach, this role will suit a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys being hands‐on, building structure and working closely with founders, executives and the Board.

This is far more than a traditional finance role. You will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the business, supporting continued growth and ensuring the organisation has the right commercial foundations to scale.

The Role

n

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the finance function and provide strategic commercial advice across the business.

n

You will be responsible for:

n

- Leading the overall finance strategy and function
n
- Partnering with the leadership team on commercial and strategic decisions
n
- Providing financial insight to support growth and expansion
n
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting
n
- Overseeing financial controls, governance and risk
n
- Working across manufacturing, wholesale and international operations
n
- Supporting new market, product and business opportunities
n
- Developing scalable financial processes and reporting structures
n
- Working closely with external partners, auditors, banks and advisors
n
- Preparing and presenting financial information to the Board
n
- Providing explicit commercial analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
n

About You

n

We are looking for a CPA-qualified Finance Director / senior finance leader who combines strong technical capability with genuine commercial and entrepreneurial thinking.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- CPA qualification or equivalent
n
- Senior finance leadership experience within beauty, FMCG, consumer, retail or a similar product‐led environment
n
- Proven experience working within a start‐up, scale‐up or high‐growth business
n
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain finance
n
- Experience across wholesale and international markets
n
- Previous Board reporting and Board‐level experience
n
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence business strategy
n
- Experience building or improving finance functions, systems and processes
n
- Excellent understanding of cash flow, working capital and profitability
n
- The ability to operate both strategically and hands‐on within a lean corporate environment
n
- A confident communicator who can work with founders, executives, investors and senior stakeholders
n
