Do you enjoy helping organisations manage information responsibly and navigate complex privacy issues?

Join the Northern Territory Government's central Privacy Unit and help agencies across the NT strengthen privacy practice, build capability and meet their legislative obligations.

n

As Senior Specialist Privacy, you will work with a diverse range of stakeholders across government to provide practical support and training. You will help agencies interpret and apply privacy requirements and support a consistent approach to managing information responsibly.

What you'll do

n

n
- Partner with Northern Territory Government agencies to help them manage and meet their privacy obligations.
n
- Provide practical guidance on privacy principles, information handling, and relevant legislation.
n
- Design and deliver training and resources that build privacy awareness and capability across government.
n
- Contribute to privacy by design initiatives and improvements to policies, resources and privacy practices.
n
- Support and mentor colleagues involved in the delivery of privacy services.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Experience in privacy, information management, governance, compliance,



policy or another role involving the interpretation and application of legislation.
n
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical advice.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and in plain English.
n
- Experience delivering training, coaching or other capability building activities.
n
- Sound judgement, discretion and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a sensitive and confidential workplace.
n
