Package: $165k–$180k + accelerated ESOP

Location: East Melbourne Rowville – 3 days office / 2 days WFH

Progression: Genuine scope to develop into a CTO-level position as the business scales.

We're looking for a hands‐on AI/ML Engineering Team Leader to join a growing Australian industrial intelligence business working across water, wastewater and manufacturing.

n

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own the technology setting across industrial IoT, edge computing, SCADA/OT, Azure cloud and applied AI/ML (Predictive Analytics), while leading a small team.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Own architecture from sensors and edge devices through to cloud, software and AI
n
- Lead development and deployment of industrial IoT and edge solutions
n
- Work with SCADA, plant data, sensors,



telemetry and industrial integrations
n
- Drive AI/ML, predictive analytics, anomaly detection and agentic AI capabilities
n
- Oversee Azure/cloud and software integration
n
- Lead and mentor engineers while remaining technically hands‐on
n
- Work directly with the CEO on product and technology strategy
n
- Support expansion into the UK and US
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Strong Industrial IoT, OT, SCADA, automation or edge computing experience
n
- AI/ML and predictive analytics
n
- Experience with industrial hardware, sensors and plant environments
n
- Azure/cloud and software integration experience
n
- Strong technical ownership and stakeholder communication skills
