Job Description
Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking experienced General Practitioner Visiting Medical Officers to join its Emergency Department and work alongside a dedicated team of Emergency Medicine specialists.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with robust emergency medicine experience to join a supportive regional hospital and provide high-quality emergency and inpatient care to the Armidale community.
n
You will work as part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent clinical care to every patient, every time, while supporting continuity of care between emergency, inpatient and outpatient services.

The Opportunity
n
As a GP Visiting Medical Officer, you will contribute to the provision of emergency and inpatient medical services across the hospital.
n
The Role Provides The Prospect To

- Work alongside experienced Emergency Medicine specialists
n
- Provide high-quality clinical care within the Emergency Department
n
- Assess and manage a broad range of emergency presentations
n
- Provide inpatient medical services where required
n
- Support seamless continuity between emergency, inpatient and outpatient care
n
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and specialist teams
n
- Contribute to a supportive and collegial clinical environment
n
- Provide medical care to the wider Armidale and surrounding regional community
n

About You
n
We are interested in hearing from experienced General Practitioners who have:
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration
n
- Fellowship of RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent
n
- Strong recent experience in Emergency Medicine
n
- Ability to work confidently in a regional Emergency Department
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
n
Doctors with significant emergency medicine experience who are looking for a VMO role within a regional referral hospital are encouraged to enquire.

Internationally trained doctors are welcome to enquire, subject to AHPRA registration and relevant eligibility requirements.
