Join Ability WA as a Social Worker and become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team where you'll have the freedom to shape your practice, manageable workloads, and the backing of experienced clinical leaders. We're particularly interested in Social Workers with experience in disability services, with Early Childhood Intervention experience highly regarded.

About the role

As a Social Worker, you'll:

- Deliver evidence-based social work services to people living with disability
- Support leaders and teams in navigating customer safeguarding, child safety, human rights and risk management concerns
- Support customer outcomes through consultation on matters such as supported decision-making, guardianship, family capacity building, psychosocial wellbeing, grief and loss
- Manage your caseload with flexibility to shape your day
- Empower customers through a person-centred approach
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team using the key worker model
- Provide therapy across hub and community settings
- Work closely with families, schools, hospitals, and other support networks
- Champion continuous improvement, reflective practice and quality outcomes for Ability WA's social work services

Part Time (0.6FTE), 6-month Fixed Term Contract (possibility for extension/permanency)

Coolbinia-based with flexible work options

Salary will be determined in line with qualifications and relevant clinical experience.

About You

You bring more than technical expertise. You build trusted relationships, navigate complexity with confidence, and empower people and families to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You'll also need:

- A tertiary qualification in Social Work
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- 2+ years' experience, preferably within disability, community, health or allied health settings




- Proficient with Early Childhood Intervention and working with customers with complex needs (highly desirable)
- Driver's Licence & ability to travel for community visits
- Required checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children, National Police Clearance, First Aid)
- Right to Work in Australia
