- Complete work assigned by a nominated Production Manager/Leading Hands
- Participate in manufacturing and assembly of roller shutters and other door types
- Locate, pull, and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders
- Load and unload vehicles and trucks
- Carry and move goods
- Weld frames and guides for counterweight doors
- Perform general assembly of roller shutters
- Use hand-held tools including chisels, saws, and hammers
- Operate powered hand-held tools including drills, routers, sanders, and grinders
- Operate or assist with other powered workshop machinery
- Perform basic daily and weekly workshop machinery maintenance
- Clean and maintain work areas
- Train less experienced staff in standard manufacturing procedures
- Maintain quality control by following established QC procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Experience in manufacturing and fabrication highly regarded
- Proactive and self-driven
- Ability to complete assigned work within reasonable timeframes and to a high standard of quality
- Ability to follow established standard manufacturing procedures and protected operating procedures
- Ability to participate in online psychometric testing, medical assessments including Alcohol & Other Drug testing, and face-to-face interviews if requested
