This position is classified as a PACS Band 3 ($35.47 –$37.47 p.a) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remunerationsystem.
What’s On Offer
A fantastic opportunity isavailable for a suitably qualified Horticulturalist with a passionfor working outdoors and contributing to the presentation of publicopen spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for deliveringhorticultural and landscape establishment and maintenance servicesacross the City of Kwinana’s parks, reserves, streetscapes andgardens.
Working in the field, you will apply best practice horticulturaltechniques to maintain and enhance public open spaces in line withthe City’s maintenance standards. You will collaborate with teammembers to help create and maintain attractive, safe and thrivinglandscapes for the community to enjoy.

What You’ll Need
- Demonstrated practical experience with parks and gardenmaintenance and landscape development tasks; and knowledge ofamenity planting and common weed species.
- The ability to safely prepare and apply herbicides.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to workcollaboratively with an operational team working in publicspaces; and address public queries as required.
- The ability to work effectively with minimal supervisionand report on work outputs as required.
- Cert III in Horticulture, or other relevant tertiaryqualifications or experience.
- Current MR Class Licence, Basic Worksite Traffic ManagementCertificate, SafetyAwareness Training – White Card, First AidCertificate.
