KBA Accountants is a well-established, Sunshine Coast accounting practice, trusted by small-to-medium businesses, investors, SMSFs and not-for-profits — with a specialist niche in Management Rights (hotels and resorts). We're a close-knit team of around 15, and we're looking for an experienced Office Manager to take the reins on the day-to-day running of the practice so our partners can stay focused on serving clients.
n
About the role
n
This is a genuinely pivotal role for our firm. You'll manage our office and lead our Admin Team, taking ownership of the operational and administrative work currently sitting with our partners — freeing them up to focus on billable client work. You'll be the person who keeps the practice running smoothly behind the scenes, and the go-to for anything technology or systems-related.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
- Managing the office day-to-day and leading/supporting our Admin Team
n
- Taking over administrative and operational tasks currently handled by the partners
n
- Owning our practice management software — XPM, Ignition and FYI — and making sure the team is using them well
n
- Leading the charge on any new software implementation or systems improvement, from evaluation through to rollout and training
n
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve how the practice runs
n
- Supporting partners and the wider team so everyone can focus on what they do best
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
- Proven experience in an office/practice management role, ideally within an accounting or professional services environment
n
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint & OneDrive), XPM, Ignition and FYI — this is essential
n
- Experience with Now Infinity, ASIC, ATO & ATO Mate, would be beneficial
n
- A genuine interest in technology, with a track record of leading or supporting software implementations
n
- Robust people-management skills and the confidence to lead a small admin team
n
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
n
- A proactive, take-charge attitude — you spot what needs doing and get on with it
n
- Join a well-respected, long-standing local practice with a supportive, down-to-earth team culture
n
- The opportunity to shape how the practice operates
n
- We are happy to add software as required to help you fulfill your role
n
- Be part of a firm investing in modernising its systems and ways of working
n
- Based in Maroochydore, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast
