The Prospect
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be the welcoming face of Parks Victoria at Cape Conran, providing front-line visitor support and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll assist visitors with information, bookings, accommodation and camping enquiries, retail sales, and general orientation to the park, helping ensure every visitor enjoys a safe and memorable experience.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you'll contribute to the smooth operation of commercial facilities and visitor services while supporting the management of one of Victoria's most popular natural destinations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to combine customer service with a passion for the outdoors and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer service and visitor support activities, including visitor information, bookings, and orientation services.
- Provide clear and professional verbal and written communication to a diverse range of visitors and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver safe, high-quality visitor experiences.
- Use initiative and sound judgement to resolve operational issues and iden tify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage positively with members of the public, volunteer groups, and park users.
- Represent Parks Victoria professionally and positively in all interactions.
- Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of your work.
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
About You
You are a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping people and creating positive visitor experiences. You thrive in a team environment, communicate confidently with people from diverse backgrounds, and take pride in delivering high-quality service. You are reliable, adaptable, and able to use your initiative to solve problems while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
You'll bring:
- A current driver's licence.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with customers, visitors, community members, or stakeholders in a service-focused setting.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
