The USU is a not-for-profit organisation that has existed to serve the University of Sydney community since 1874 when it began as a humble society for ambitious student debaters.
We provide key programs, services and facilities that enhance campus life for the many thousands who join and interact with us. The programs department deliver student experiences through a range of activities including programs, events, clubs and societies, activations and funding initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for the day-to-day set up and running of HostCo functions and events.
- Take on a variety of roles including food and beverage service, event set-up and pack-down, and delivering exceptional experiences for customers and guests.
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service to guests attending graduation ceremonies and events.
- Assist with food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving food, and clearing tables.
- Support event setup, pack down, and venue presentation to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high service standards and create a positive guest experience.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Minimum of 1 year's demonstrated experience working in the hospitality industry
- Ability to 3 plate carry
- Flexibility regarding hours worked
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol competency card
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
DESIRABLE CRITIERIA
- Current Australian driver's license
- Barista experience
HOURS OF WORK
Hours of work will vary week to week and will span over 7 days

THE PAY
$34.05 (inclusive of 25% casual loading) per hour + 12% Superannuation
