We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing community allied health team, delivering Encara's Dementia Rehabilitation Program to clients living independently in their own homes.

The Role:

n

As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will:

n

n
- Provide occupational therapy to people living with dementia in their own homes
n




- Complete comprehensive assessments of clients, their home environments and support needs
n
- Work with clients and their families/carers to establish meaningful, achievable goals
n
- Support clients to maintain independence with everyday activities and routines
n
- Provide education and strategies to families and carers
n
- Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists and other allied health professionals
n
- Review client progress and adapt interventions throughout the programDevelop recommendations and referral pathways to support clients beyond the program
n

About You

n

You Will Have

n

n
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
n
- Current AHPRA registration
n
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Confidence working independently in a community setting
n
- An interest in dementia, cognitive rehabilitation and healthy ageing
n
- Community, aged care or dementia experience is desirable; however, comprehensive orientation and support will be provided
n
- All applicants must possess or be willing to obtain a police check, NDIS Workers Screening Check and registration in their relevant discipline.
