Job Description

- Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 & AWS experience

- Major eCommerce transformation

Our client is undertaking a major digital and eCommerce transformation. We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to take ownership of the server-side architecture connecting Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, AWS services, APIs and event-driven integrations.
n
Key Skills & Responsibilities
n
n
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications, solution designs and scalable backend solutions.
n
- Develop and maintain Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 customisations, extensions, modules and APIs using PHP, Magento APIs, App Builder, API Mesh and RabbitMQ – mandatory.
n
- Design, build and maintain AWS serverless and event-driven solutions, including Lambda, EventBridge and IAM.
n
- Design and develop secure, high-performing REST and GraphQL APIs, and build integrations connecting Magento with ecommerce, ERP, logistics and third-party systems.
n
- Own data integrity and synchronisation across orders, inventory, pricing and catalogue data.
n
- Develop microservices, automation and data transformation solutions using Node.js and/or Python, supported by strong SQL/database skills and exposure to DynamoDB or NoSQL.
n
- Apply MACH,
composable, headless and API-first architecture principles to modern ecommerce solutions.
n
- Implement secure application and integration solutions with a strong understanding of OAuth2, JWT and web security best practices.
n
- Manage the full development lifecycle including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment and production support, with robust Git and CI/CD practices.
n
- Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues, conducting root-cause analysis and resolving performance, reliability and scalability challenges.
n
- Collaborate closely with frontend, IT and business stakeholders to maintain effective API contracts, integrations and operational support.
n
- Contribute to code reviews, automation, CI/CD improvements, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Experience across multi-brand, multi-tenant or multi-storefront ecommerce environments will be highly regarded.
