Komatsu is looking for a Trades Assistant to join our team at Batchfire Callide Mine. This is a varied role rotating between our Maintenance Team and Warehouse Operations, giving you exposure to both heavy equipment maintenance and the parts operation that keeps the fleet moving.

n

You'll work alongside experienced Komatsu tradespeople, supporting servicing, shutdowns and breakdowns across excavators, trucks and graders, while also helping receive, dispatch and manage critical parts and consumables.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Getting hands-on alongside our maintenance team with day-to-day activities.
n
- Assisting with truck, excavator and grader servicing, shutdowns and breakdowns.
n
- Operating light vehicles, service trucks, wash bays and ancillary equipment.
n
- Receiving, dispatching and safely storing parts and consumables.
n
- Supporting stocktakes and ensuring parts are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
n
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite.
n
- Working closely with trades, supervisors, warehouse teams and site personnel.
n
- Contributing to a positive crew culture where safety and teamwork come first.
n

Roster: Monday to Friday

What We Are Looking For

n





You don't need to be a qualified tradie, but you do need to be someone who enjoys hands-on work, heavy equipment and being part of a hardworking crew.

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
n
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams on site.
n
- A practical, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.
n
- A current Queensland Driver's Licence.
n
- The ability to obtain a Queensland Coal Board Medical and S11.
n
- Forklift License is required.
n
- High Risk Work, HR Truck or Crane tickets will be highly regarded.
n
