About the role
The Global Learning lead (Outbound and Funding) is an opportunity to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Deakin's outbound global learning portfolio, including short-term, semester-based and Global Citizenship programs. Through advanced knowledge of Learning Abroad and outbound mobility funding administration this position manages complex operational, compliance and strategic challenges to enhance student participation and experience. Stakeholder engagement and management is a crucial for this role working collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Global Learning, Deakin International colleagues, faculties, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) teams, academic and professional staff, and external partners to support the development, funding and delivery of global learning opportunities. This role leads the outbound mobility team and service delivery across global learning programs with responsibility for the management of day to day escalations.

To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience and management expertise
- Demonstrated experience and ability to lead complex international education programs and partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capability in team development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic capability.
- Sound knowledge of the student mobility sector and relevant legislation, policies and funding frameworks.
