Job Description
We are looking for an organised, reliable and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our team at Eloma Care.
n
What you'll be doing
n
As our Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and organisational requirements.
n
Process payroll: Manage the end-to-end fortnightly payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
n
Long Service Leave: Process long service leave calculations and payments and maintain accurate leave records.
n
Payroll reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate payroll reports and provide payroll information as required.
n
Journal reconciliation: Complete payroll journal reconciliations and ensure payroll-related figures are accurate and correctly recorded.
n
Superannuation: Process and reconcile employee superannuation payments, ensuring all obligations are met within the required timeframes.
n
Payroll compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant awards, legislation and organisational requirements.
n
Maintain accurate records: Keep employee payroll and leave records accurate, up to date and confidential.
n
Resolve payroll queries: Respond to employee payroll queries and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
n
Attention to detail: Review payroll data carefully to identify errors or inconsistencies before payroll is finalised.
n
Work collaboratively: Liaise with HR,
management and employees to ensure payroll information is accurate and payroll processes run smoothly.

What we need from you?
n
Previous experience in payroll processing
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Experience processing fortnightly payroll
n
Experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations
n
Experience processing superannuation and long service leave
n
Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
n
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
n
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines
n
Experience working within the disability or community services sector would be advantageous
n
