HumeLink West Project
n
Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
n
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.
n
HumeLink is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed recent transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
n
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of current 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a current substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor – Assembly and Erection to join the HumeLink West team. This is a DIDO, FIFO or relocation opportunity into Wagga Wagga.

- Actively participates in developing a construction HSE culture that integrates safety and environmental awareness as a natural part of the job.
n
- Oversees the safe delivery of the Assembly and Erection work.
n
- Ensures that allocated resources remain productive.
n
- Promotes proactive safety and environmental awareness for all personnel under your supervision.
n
- Reports to the Construction Manager on all matters relating to quality elements of construction works.
n
- Directs subcontractors.
n
- Actively participates in developing a construction HSE culture that integrates safety and environmental awareness as a natural part of the job.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Minimum of 3 years as an Assembly and Erection Supervisor.
n
- Tertiary and industry qualifications or significant experience in a supervisory role for construction and engineering projects.
n
- Extensive experience in all aspects of stringing.
n
- Thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirements.
n
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
n
- Driver's Licence
n
n
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
n
Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
