As Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will oversee the operational and clinical management of the Perioperative Department, including Day Surgery, the four-theatre suite, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).This pivotal leadership role will support surgical recovery and service reform initiatives,



working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The NUM will play a critical role in ensuring service delivery aligns with contemporary best practice and operates in accordance with ACORN Standards, the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and AS 5369:2023 standards and guidelines. Reporting to senior leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager is accountable for the effective management of all departmental resources, including workforce, equipment, budgets, and clinical operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
