The Role

The Technical Manager will be responsible for strengthening and maintaining the organisation’s quality and food‑safety systems. This is a hands‑on position requiring a strong presence on the production floor. You will work closely with operators and leaders to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood, consistently followed and properly documented. The role will also support R&D; coordination and new‑product commercialisation, working with key stakeholders to ensure products and processes meet technical, regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop,



strengthen and maintain quality‑management systems, policies, SOPs and supporting documentation
- Ensure the site remains audit‑ready and compliant with HACCP, GMP, food‑safety and relevant regulatory requirements
- Partner with production teams to identify quality gaps, improve practices and build greater ownership of quality documentation
- Coordinate internal inspections, corrective actions, performance reporting, root‑cause investigations and external laboratory testing
- Support R&D; coordination and NPD commercialisation, working with internal stakeholders to transition products into manufacturing

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
- Demonstrated quality assurance or technical‑management experience within a food‑manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Australian food standards, quality‑management systems and audit requirements
- Proven experience developing and improving quality policies, procedures, SOPs and supporting documentation
- Confident and engaging communicator who can coach production teams, influence change and conduct challenging conversations when required
