Walsh Accountants is a long-established, family-owned firm supporting Gold Coast businesses since 1976. With 50 years of trusted relationships and a strong market presence, we’re looking for an experienced Client Services Coordinator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

For approximately the first 12 months, this role will primarily provide parental leave coverage within our Client Services team, with a focus on SMSF support, client onboarding, ASIC and corporate compliance, and entity establishments. Following this period, the position will continue on a permanent basis, with responsibilities and client allocation transitioning in line with the needs of the broader Client Services team.

About the role

As a Client Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for keeping jobs moving, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with clients and external parties, and delivering a professional client experience from initial engagement through to ongoing service.

During the initial parental leave coverage period, your responsibilities will include:

- Manage SMSF job flow from work-in through to lodgement
- Follow up clients for outstanding records, approvals and signed documents
- Create and post fees, issue invoices,



respond to billing queries, and maintain accurate job notes, statuses and records
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new clients, from initial engagement through to handover to the ongoing client team
- Set up clients and entities across internal and external systems, ensuring records are complete and accurate
- Prepare and lodge ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG withholding registrations
- Monitor ASIC deadlines and communicate with clients regarding outstanding information, signatures and compliance matters
- Provide backup reception and telephone support, along with other ad hoc administrative and client service support as required

Following the parental leave period, the role will transition into an ongoing Client Services Coordinator position, with duties and client allocation adjusted to support the broader needs of the firm.

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in a Client Services Coordinator or similar client services administration role within an accounting or skilled services firm
- Experience supporting SMSF administration and compliance workflows, including working with BGL and auditors
- Practical experience with ASIC and corporate compliance, entity establishments and business registrations
- A solid understanding of accounting-firm workflows and statutory deadlines
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities through to completion
- Confident, professional communication skills and a proactive approach to following up clients and keeping work moving
- Familiarity with FYI, CAS 360, MYOB Practice Management, LightYear or ATO Online services will be highly regarded
