- Lead the design and implementation of secondary and protection systems for transmission and distribution substations up to 500kV
- Provide technical leadership across complex projects, ensuring high-quality and fit-for-purpose outcomes
- Lead and mentor engineers, supporting technical development, knowledge sharing and capability growth
- Develop and review protection schemes, secondary systems, fault studies and power system analyses
- Partner with clients to provide technical advice, project scoping and practical delivery solutions
- Support project pursuits, client relationships and the continued growth of Beca's Power business
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver major energy infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand
- Contribute to renewable energy and power projects across the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered, Registered Professional Engineer status or working towards professional registration
- Extensive experience delivering secondary and protection designs for transmission and distribution projects
- Experience with protection relays, substation automation systems and commissioning
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and support team development
- Robust stakeholder engagement,
communication and problem-solving skills
- Practical and client-focused approach
- Engineering consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential
