Join NSW TrainLink's Strategic Investment and Delivery team and use your analytical expertise to support accurate revenue reconciliation and assurance, informed decision-making and effective commercial outcomes.
You'll have the prospect to influence, design and implement new approaches and translate insights into practical processes and outcomes that support commercial operations.
In this role, you'll:
- Join our Strategic Investment and Delivery division to undertake revenue reconciliation for NSW TrainLink services, comparing bookings with funds received and developing and embedding practical processes and procedures to support accurate outcomes.
- Research and analyse booking and financial information from different sources, identifying trends, issues and discrepancies and preparing accurate, concise insights to support management action, improvement and planning.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with subject matter experts across NSW TrainLink and Transport for NSW to recommend, test and implement sustainable reconciliation practices that support effective commercial operations and outcomes.
This is a 12-month temporary opportunity located in Sydney. Flexible work options are available under our hybrid working arrangements.
About you
- You hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or have demonstrated relevant professional experience.
- Experience in revenue reconciliation, finance operations, payment, or business analysis or similar environment will support your success in this role.
- Demonstrated experience analysing and reconciling complex financial or transactional data in a large,
complex or regulated environment. Your strong analytical and spreadsheet skills enable you to compare datasets, investigate discrepancies, validate information and prepare clear, accurate reporting.
- You bring analytical curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the judgement to recommend new strategies, develop and implement fit-for-purpose processes and make informed decisions.
- Ability to communicate complex insights effectively.
