Remuneration: Band 5 salary from $86,136.96 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

Location: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement

About the role

As a member of the Talent Acquisition team within People & Capability, the Talent Acquisition Officer contributes to attracting great talent to Wyndham City by providing high-quality recruitment support, stakeholder engagement and operational coordination throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Reporting to the Team Leader Talent Acquisition, you will provide proactive advice, guidance and operational support throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Working closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers and candidates, you will help deliver efficient recruitment processes and support Council in attracting and appointing outstanding people who are committed to serving our community. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will support recruitment activities across a diverse range of roles and service areas.

This role supports end-to-end recruitment activities including candidate attraction, sourcing, screening, assessment, employment offers and onboarding. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of recruitment systems, processes and candidate experience initiatives, while providing support across permanent, fixed-term and agency workforce channels.

Utilising your customer service mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving capability and outcomes-focused approach will be pivotal to your success as you build strong stakeholder relationships and help deliver efficient, responsive and candidate-focused recruitment outcomes.

What your day will look like

- Supporting end-to-end recruitment activities including candidate attraction, engagement, employment offers and onboarding.
- Building strong relationships with hiring managers, candidates, recruitment agencies and other stakeholders to support positive recruitment outcomes.
- Coordinating pre-employment screening activities and ensuring recruitment processes remain compliant with legislation, policy and employment standards.
- Analysing recruitment activity, candidate feedback and workforce data to identify opportunities for service improvement.




- Contributing to talent acquisition projects, process improvements and initiatives that enhance recruitment capability and candidate experience.

What you will bring

- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management or a related discipline, or relevant experience aligned to the requirements of the role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end recruitment activities within a medium to large or complex organisation.
- A passion for candidate care and delivering recruitment services that create positive candidate and hiring manager experiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships and influence positive outcomes.
- High attention to detail, strong administrative capability and experience working with recruitment systems, applicant tracking systems and workforce management platforms.

If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
