Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing engineering and building design consultancy to recruit a Approvals & Permits Officer to join their Sydney team.
Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, building consultants, planners and designers, you will play an important role in ensuring projects progress smoothly through the planning and approvals process.
The Role:
- Preparing and lodging Development Applications and managing them throughout the approval process
- Preparing documentation to support planning applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and Waste Management Plans
- Coordinating the information and reports required for submissions
- Working closely with a range of consultants, architects and civil engineers & surveyors.
- Acting as a key link between building designers, engineers and external consultants throughout the design and approvals process
- Following up on outstanding information and ensuring applications continue to progress within required timeframes
- Reviewing documentation carefully to ensure submissions are accurate, complete and ready for lodgments
About You:
- Previous experience coordinating DA applications and the planning approvals process
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of your workload
- The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines at once
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
