Where You'll Be Working

Clarence Correctional Centre is located in Lavadia, just outside Grafton in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

As Australia's largest correctional centre, Clarence provides a unique opportunity to work within a large onsite healthcare service alongside experienced nurses, GPs and allied health professionals.

About The Role
n
As a Casual Registered Paramedic, you'll provide frontline clinical care across the facility, responding to emergencies and supporting patients with acute and ongoing healthcare needs.
n
You'll be able to draw on your paramedic experience while developing your skills in primary and correctional healthcare.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide clinical assessment
n
- Provide acute and primary healthcare within your scope of practice
n
- Administer medications and treatments as required
n
- Support patients with chronic and ongoing health needs
n
- Work alongside nurses, GPs and allied health professionals
n
- Communicate with custodial staff to support coordinated patient care
n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient confidentiality
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for a confident and adaptable Paramedic who can remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
n
You'll Need
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Paramedic
n
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
n
- Experience in emergency, pre-hospital or acute care
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
- A professional and patient-centred approach
n
n
Experience in correctional, rural, remote or primary healthcare will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
n
