Join a supportive multidisciplinary team and help people of all ages (with a specific focus on Early Childhood Intervention) build skills, achieve their goals and realise their abilities. As a Therapy Assistant, you will deliver therapy programs under the guidance of experienced allied health professionals, while gaining valuable hands‑on experience across a diverse range of settings. As well as individual intervention, you will support clinicians to delivery therapy groups, including hydrotherapy, functional meal preparation, parent education and play groups.

Based in Murdoch, willingness to travel required

Permanent

Part time, 0.6 FTE

Availability required for group programs and classes, including water‑based therapy. You will need to be available until 6pm on at least two days each week.

About the role

No two days will look quite the same. You may support customers in their homes, community spaces, educational environments or swimming pools, working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Exercise Physiologists and other allied health professionals.

You will:

- Assist therapists to deliver individual and group therapy programs
- Support customers to work towards their therapy goals
- Prepare therapy resources and equipment to help programs run effectively
- Deliver services independently following handover and direction from therapist
- Work collaboratively with customers, families, carers, colleagues and community partners to provide coordinated support

About You

You will bring one of the following:

- A Certificate IV in Disability Work, Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification
- Current study towards an allied health qualification, such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology

You will also bring:

- Experience supporting people with disability
- Early Childhood Intervention Experience (desirable)
- Solid communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Confidence delivering therapy programs independently following handover and guidance
- A commitment to individualised, inclusive and person‑centred support
- An understanding of the NDIS, community inclusion, quality and safeguarding principles
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and everyday digital systems

- National Police Clearance
- Driver’s licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- First Aid certificate
- Aquatic Rescue and CPR certificates, maintained annually
- Australian working rights
