As our Sustainability Support Officer, you will contribute to this important work by supporting initiatives that promote sustainable business practices, improve accessibility, strengthen governance and enable informed decision-making across the organisation.
This newly created role is ideally suited to someone with a background or strong interest in sustainability and a sound understanding of sustainability principles and practices, including disability access principles, accessibility standards and legislative requirements relevant to public transport. Working within a team-oriented team, you will provide administrative and reporting support, maintain critical records and information systems, and assist in the collection and analysis of data that helps drive strategic outcomes.
We are looking for an analytical, highly organised professional who shows initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be confident assisting with audits, preparing reports and other business documentation, maintaining accurate records, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, and managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative, project support, reporting or business support, services in a government, infrastructure, compliance or similar environment.
- Experience maintaining databases, registers, records and reporting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of information to support organisational objectives and decision-making.
- Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, sustainability principles and practices including disability access principles, accessibility standards and legislative requirements relevant to public transport.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start . A part time arrangement may be considered for the right applicant. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
