Job Description
Azooa is seeking experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineers for an upcoming long-term Federal Government ICT engagement in Canberra.
n
This is a senior, hands-on network engineering role supporting secure enterprise infrastructure, data centre networking, gateway technologies, network performance, capacity management and complex technical troubleshooting.
n
The opportunity is suited to experienced engineers who can operate independently, lead complex infrastructure activities and provide high-quality technical advice to projects, technical teams and business stakeholders.
n
About the Role
n
The successful engineers will support the design, implementation, operation and improvement of secure and reliable enterprise network infrastructure.
n
The role combines day-to-day network engineering with broader infrastructure responsibilities, including secure gateways, virtual service environments, data centre services, capacity planning, technical design, remediation and continuous improvement.
n
You will work across complex environments where availability, resilience, security and performance are critical.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
You may be responsible for:
n
n
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software
n
- Resolving complex networking issues and service-impacting incidents
n
- Performing network maintenance, upgrades and patching
n
- Improving network performance, reliability and operational processes
n
- Providing technical expertise to projects and business stakeholders
n
- Supporting secure gateway and network environments
n
n
Maintaining and upgrading virtual service environments and supporting infrastructure
n
n
- Planning, designing, testing and implementing infrastructure changes
n
- Supporting deployment of virtual services and associated infrastructure
n
- Leading technical analysis, planning and performance-improvement activities
n
- Supporting data centre and secure network services
n
- Undertaking remediation and enhancement activities across network and gateway platforms
n
- Delivering major and minor infrastructure project work
n
- Supporting infrastructure capacity planning
n
- Managing multiple technical priorities and deadlines
n
- Liaising with internal teams, vendors and external service providers
n
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation
n
- Transferring technical knowledge to internal teams.
n

- Current AGSVA NV1 clearance is required for this opportunity.

Location & Working Arrangement
n
The successful contractors will initially work full-time onsite while they develop an understanding of the environment, requirements and project objectives.
n
Following the initial onboarding period, hybrid arrangements may be considered subject to operational requirements and approval.
n
Contractors should expect to attend the Canberra office at least 3 days per week once flexible arrangements are approved.
n

- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
