An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Operator Level 4 / Yard Locomotive Driver to join our team in Tennyson, QLD.

n

What You'll Do

n

Support the safe and efficient operation of our rail terminal through locomotive driving, train assembly activities and freight handling responsibilities.

n

Reporting to the Supervisor you will:

n

n
- Drive locomotives and perform shunting activities within the yard precinct
n
- Coordinate, assemble and dismantle trains to meet operational requirements
n
- Operate forklifts to support terminal and freight handling activities
n
- Conduct train examinations and brake testing activities
n
- Process operational documentation and freight movements using computer-based systems
n
- Maintain compliance with rail safety procedures, policies and safe working practices
n




- Contribute to a 24/7 operation working rotating shifts including weekends and nights
n

What You'll Bring

- Shunt Driver accreditation
n
- Current Heavy Forklift Licence
n
- Current High Risk CV Licence
n
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
n
- Experience undertaking train inspections and brake testing activities
n
- Strong commitment to safety and operational compliance
n
- Sound computer skills and ability to use operational systems
n
- Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
n
