An established and highly regarded international consultancy is looking to appoint a Director to lead and grow its Quantity Surveying offering across Australia.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong PQS / consultancy background, who has the technical expertise, client relationships and commercial acumen to operate at Director level.

n

The successful individual will play a key role in the continued growth of the business, taking responsibility for major client relationships, leading project teams and identifying opportunities to expand the firm's presence across key sectors.

The Opportunity

n

Working across a portfolio of major and complex projects, you will provide senior-level Quantity Surveying and commercial advice while taking a leading role in client management, team leadership and business development.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors and cost professionals.
n
- Taking senior responsibility for major and complex client commissions.
n
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
n
- Providing high-level Quantity Surveying advice throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Overseeing cost planning, estimating, procurement, tendering and commercial reporting.
n
- Providing strategic advice around procurement, value engineering, risk and cost optimisation.
n
- Supporting the growth of key client accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
n
- Leading proposals, tenders and client presentations.
n
- Developing the capability and performance of the wider team.
n
- Working closely with project management, engineering, design and other specialist disciplines.
n
- Taking an active role in shaping the continued growth and direction of the Quantity Surveying business.

About You

n





We are looking to speak with established senior Quantity Surveyors who have built their career within a leading PQS / consultancy environment.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- 12+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
n
- A strong and demonstrable PQS consultancy background.
n
- Experience delivering major, complex and high-value projects.
n
- Strong pre-contract and post-contract experience.
n
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
n
- The ability to operate confidently with senior clients and stakeholders.
n
- A strong understanding of procurement, estimating, cost planning and commercial management.
n
- Experience contributing to business development and winning new work.
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
n
- MRICS or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
n

Sector Experience

n

Data centre and/or MEP experience would be highly advantageous, given the complexity and scale of projects currently being delivered across these sectors.

n

However, sector experience is not essential.

n

The role would suit an experienced Associate Director looking to step into a Director position, as well as an existing Director who is looking for a new platform to develop their client portfolio, lead teams and play a significant role in the continued growth of the business.
