The School

Atwell College is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated educator to lead the College's Tier 1 Netball WA Endorsed Program while contributing to the Health and Physical Education and Mathematics learning areas. This unique role provides an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher with expertise in netball development, coaching and athlete performance to inspire students to achieve excellence in both their sporting and academic pursuits. The Role

The successful applicant would be responsible for the leadership, coordination and ongoing development of the Netball Program, working strategically to strengthen participation, performance and pathway opportunities for students. They will ideally display a strong understanding of contemporary coaching practices and athlete development and possess the capacity to deliver engaging specialist netball programs that cater for students of varying abilities and aspirations. A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with sporting organisations, local clubs, community partners and families will be highly regarded.

As a key leader within the program, the successful applicant will be required to work independently and show initiative in planning, coordinating and evaluating all aspects of the Netball Program.



This includes developing annual program plans, coordinating competitions and events, managing communications, monitoring student progress and wellbeing, and ensuring the program continues to reflect best practice and align with the College's strategic priorities. The ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise professional judgement and work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative school culture will be highly regarded.

In addition to leading the netball program, the successful applicant will ideally display the capacity to teach Mathematics across secondary year levels. They will possess a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and evidence-based teaching practices and be skilled in designing engaging learning experiences that improve student achievement and confidence in mathematics. The ability to analyse and use student performance data to inform planning, differentiate learning and support students to achieve their academic goals will be highly valued.

The successful applicant will ideally display demonstrate the experience and ability to teach General and ATAR Health Studies courses in Years 11 and 12. They should possess contemporary curriculum knowledge, an understanding of senior secondary assessment and moderation requirements, and the capacity to effectively prepare students for success in senior school pathways. Experience in delivering engaging and relevant Health Studies programs that promote student achievement, wellbeing and informed decision‑making will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant should be an enthusiastic and innovative educator who fosters positive relationships with students and creates learning environments characterised by high expectations, inclusivity and student engagement.



They will ideally display excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to build a culture of commitment, resilience and excellence among students participating in the Accredited Netball Program.
