We are seeking a DataScientist to join our team on a 9-month maternity leave contract, helping usunlock the value of data and support smarter decision-making across our berryoperations. Reporting to the National Transformation Manager, this role formspart of our Continuous Improvement team and is based in Woolgoolga, NSW.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly analyticaland commercially minded Data Scientist who is passionate about solving complexproblems and uncovering insights from data.
Working closely with operational and business stakeholders,you will identify opportunities to leverage data, develop predictive models,and deliver practical solutions that improve productivity, efficiency andcommercial outcomes. You will be comfortable working with large datasets,communicating technical findings to a broad audience and driving businessresults through data-based insights.
This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing technicalexpertise with strong stakeholder engagement and is motivated by theopportunity to influence decision-making across a large and diverse operation.
What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders across the business toidentify opportunities to leverage data and improve business outcomes
- Analyselarge and complex datasets to support process optimisation, harvesttechniques and business strategy development
- Develop and implement predictive models, algorithmsand analytical tools
- Assess and improve the effectiveness and accuracyof data collection methods and data sources
- Design, develop and evaluate testing frameworks tovalidate model performance
- Coordinate with operational and functional teams toimplement data-driven solutions
- Monitor, maintain and enhance analytical models andreporting tools
- Present insights and recommendations that supportdecision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote and contribute to Costa's health, safetyand continuous improvement culture
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a Data Scientist or similaranalytical role, demonstrating successful project delivery and measurableresults
- Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics,Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline
- Experience using statistical and analytical toolsto manipulate data and generate meaningful insights
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques,predictive modelling, regression analysis, simulations and advancedanalytics
- Experience developing and implementing data models,algorithms and analytical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability toengage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong project management, organisational andproblem-solving skills
- Ability to translate complex data into practicalrecommendations and business outcomes
This is afull-time, fixed-term maternity leave 9-month contract, based inWoolgoolga, NSW.
