About the role

As a Registered Nurse within Cardiac Services, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care to patients within a specialist clinical environment. You will establish therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, supporting positive outcomes throughout their care journey.

Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care while developing your clinical knowledge and skills in cardiac nursing. Key responsibilities

- Provide safe, high-quality and patient-centred nursing care within Cardiac Services
- Assess patient needs and contribute to the development,



delivery and evaluation of individualised care plans
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing effective communication and support throughout their care
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Apply evidence-based practice and contribute to quality improvement, audit and service development activities
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing education, clinical development and adherence to nursing standards and scope of practice

What we're looking for

- Registered Nurse with minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience at the commencement of program
- Motivated and committed to building knowledge and clinical confidence
- Effective communication, willingness to embrace feedback and work collaboratively to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice

What the Program Offers

- 12-months: temporary part time commencing February 2027
- A structured introduction and orientation program into caring for cardiac patients across the inpatient ward
- Dedicated clinical support and guidance
- Several targeted study and education days
- 2 day introductory ECG course




- Attend cardiac theatre to observe cardiac surgery
- Care for post-operative patients in the cardiothoracic step-down unit
- Attend cardiac catheter laboratory to observe interventional cardiology procedures

About the service

Bellarine Centre 5 is a 34 bed combined Cardiology and Cardiothoracic unit which consists of 6 coronary care, 18 cardiology and 10 cardiothoracic beds. The cardiology service operates a 24-hour emergency STEMI service, along with the complete range of diagnostic, medical and interventional cardiology.
