Role Description

The AS9110D Quality Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hornsby, NSW, responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s quality management system in line with AS9110D and related standards. This role involves planning, conducting, and documenting internal quality audits, monitoring corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO17025, and customer requirements. The Quality Officer will develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, and records, while collaborating with technicians, engineers, and management to address nonconformities and enhance process effectiveness.



Daily activities include reviewing quality data and repair documentation, performing root cause analysis on quality issues, supporting external audits, and providing training and guidance on quality policies and best practices. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that support reliable, traceable, and secure repair and refurbishment of power equipment.

Qualifications

- Strong quality control and quality management skills, with experience implementing and maintaining structured quality systems.
- Proficiency in quality auditing, including planning, executing, and reporting internal audits against AS9110D or similar standards.
- Well-developed analytical skills to interpret quality data, perform root cause analysis, and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Clear and professional communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, documenting procedures, and supporting training.
- Experience with AS9110D, ISO9001, and ISO17025 environments, preferably in electronics repair, manufacturing, aerospace, or related technical fields.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or vocational training in quality management, engineering, electronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple audits, actions, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency with office and quality management software, and familiarity with databases or ERP systems used for traceability and record keeping.
