Latrobe Regional Health is looking for General Medicine Registrar to join our growing team on a full time - Fixed term basis.

- Deliver comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients admitted under the General Medicine service.
- Coordinate patient care and participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to support safe, timely, and patient-centred transitions of care.
- Conduct daily patient reviews, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and ensure effective communication of clinical decisions and management plans.
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and work collaboratively with consultants to ensure secure, evidence-based patient care.
- Provide supervision, teaching, and support to Interns, Hospital Medical Officers, and medical students to foster learning and professional development.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with clinical governance, accreditation, and organisational standards.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

- Medical practitioner with an MBBS (or equivalent), current General Registration with AHPRA, and registration with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- Minimum of three years' postgraduate clinical experience with demonstrated competence in the assessment and management of a broad range of medical conditions.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, decision-making,



and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Committed to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, and the education and supervision of junior medical staff.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the strategic objectives and values of Latrobe Regional Health.
