We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical practitioner to provide therapeutic support at the Medicare Mental Health Centre servicing Muswellbrook, Singleton and Scone. Medicare Mental Health Centre offersa free mental health support service for people aged 18+ experiencing distress and provides a welcoming entry point for engagement, assessment, care planning and coordination and recovery-oriented interventions. This program is funded by the Commonwealth Government to30 June 2027.

What you'll be doing

- Enhance your therapeutic skills and experience in a work culture that supports learning and development
- Be a part of a multidisciplinary team in providing in evidence-based best practice
- Build partnerships with mental health services and expand your networks
- Contribute to mental health literacy in the Upper Hunter

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health nursing,social work or counsellingand current (provisional) registration with AHPRA, PACFA, ACA or AASW.
- At least 2 years demonstrated supervised experience in the area of mental health




- Knowledge and experience in the provision of evidence based therapeutic services and ability to apply a trauma-informed and person-centred approach within a recovery-oriented framework.
- Experience participating in and actively contributing to multiservice case review meetings with psychologists, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, local health district staff and other relevant government and non-government organisations.
- Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community
- Experience in implementing and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs, including feedback informed treatment, program review and risk management.
