The Role
We're seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused Business Analyst to join our Digital and Technology team. Reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering TasWater's digital program of work by providing business analysis, project support and stakeholder engagement across a range of strategic initiatives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, technical specialists and vendors, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, define business requirements, support project delivery and ensure digital solutions achieve meaningful business outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing complex problems, improving business processes and helping drive digital transformation.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver business analysis, process mapping and project support across TasWater's digital program.
- Identify, document and validate functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Analyse business processes, identify solution gaps and develop future-state recommendations.
- Prepare business cases, project documentation, reports, roadmaps and risk assessments to support decision-making.
- Facilitate workshops and consult with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technology vendors
- Support project implementation activities, including testing, user acceptance activities and transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Track and document benefits realisation to support successful project outcomes and return on investment.

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for improving business outcomes through technology and digital innovation.
To thrive in this role, you will:
- A degree in business, finance, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated business analysis experience within a technical or digital environment.
- Knowledge of project and program delivery principles and experience supporting project outcomes.
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver results within tight timeframes.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Initiative, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
Highly regarded:
- Experience with Agile methodologies, UML, BPMN or business process re-engineering.
- Experience with Jira and/or Atlassian software.
- Familiarity with BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge).

The Details
This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonpor`t and attracts a salary of $106,708.64- $112,636.89 per annum (inclusive of superannuation).
